TEF CANADA
The Test d’évaluation de français (TEF) Canada is a vital requirement for individuals applying for immigration and citizenship in Canada. Recognized by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada since 2002, this test measures your proficiency in French.
Required Tests for Canadian Immigration Applications
- Oral Comprehension: 40 minutes (40 questions)
- Written Comprehension: 60 minutes (40 questions)
- Oral Expression: 15 minutes (2 topics)
- Written Expression: 60 minutes (2 topics)

- Oral Comprehension: 40 minutes (40 questions)
- Oral Expression: 15 minutes (2 topics)
All tests must be completed on the same day for recognition by Canadian authorities.
Registration Process
To register for the TEF Canada, please contact your local testing center for details on session dates, fees, and organization. You can find a list of authorized testing centers on our website.
Sessions are also available at the Paris Île-de-France CCI, located at 5 rue Armand Moisant (15th district of Paris). You can register online directly through our site.

Obtaining Your Results
Results will be provided in digital format. After your exam has been graded, you will receive an email within approximately 2 to 4 weeks. This email will contain a link to access your secure digital area where you can view your statement of results.
The certificate will detail your scores for each examination. To find out how your scores correspond to the Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB), please refer to the CLB equivalency chart (available in French).
